Arizona Huntress—Founder
As a native Arizonan, I have always enjoyed our outdoors. However, was not raised in a family who shared that passion. When I became an adult, I found someone who was into archery and was learning how to archery hunt. I wanted to be apart of it! So I began learning alongside that person. As a domestic violence survivor and someone who struggled with anxiety, I found archery to be very therapeutic! After a long, hard day at work, I’d come home and sling a few arrows down to the target and found myself calm and with a clear mind. January 2017, I then began learning about archery hunting and camping. It just clicked – I WAS MEANT TO BE AN OUTDOORS WOMAN! I joined multiple social media groups trying to connect with others who shared these interest, ask questions, etc. Much to my dismay, I realized hunting was a male-dominated lifestyle and had a hard time connecting with fellow women. So in July 2017, I decided to create a group for WOMEN. This way there would be a supportive place to freely ask questions, share our stories of our adventures – whether they were successes or defeats. I was able to share about Arizona Huntress as of Late 2022 we are 1200 women strong throughout the state & growing! We have females of all ages in our group that share love for ANYTHING & EVERYTHING outdoors – not just hunting! It has been an honor and pleasure learning as I lead this sisterhood and I hope that our sisterhood continues to grow as we share our passion with other women!

Ducks Unlimited—Regional Director AZ/NM
I was raised in Green Bay Wisconsin where I learned to appreciate the value of wetlands and their associated habitats. As duck hunting became my main hobby through college I began to realize the importance of protecting the places we love to hunt-not just for the ducks but for the benefit they give all people. Spending more time outdoors became our main priority which brought us to Arizona so we can enjoy year round activites outdoors. My wife Taylor, daughter Zoe & black lab Chief have resided in Estrella Mountain Ranch since January of 2022.
